Greenwich gets a Wicked makeover

A fantastic project to design for, the late nights and early morning required to complete such an in depth takeover of detailed signage of varying dimensions and locations were intense but the final experience was magical and captured the films rich set design and helped Greenwich generate some pre Christmas tourism.

Celebrating all things Ozian in a nod to the brand new Wicked film, the Royal B Greenwich was given a Wicked makeover to tie in with the hotly anticipated film’s arrival in cinemas on November 22 2024.
The royal borough temporarily become ‘GreenWitch’ in a nod to the movie, featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo in the two leading roles. 
Fans who visited ‘GreenWitch’ followed a walking trail to see signs along a route that passed spots including The Green Café and Greenwich Picturehouse.
The Mayor of Greenwich helped launch the project on Tuesday, November 12, unveiling a plaque celebrating the borough’s temporary and enchanting new name.
